Privacy Policy

Zero Budget Pro ("we", "our", "us") is a personal finance application operated as a private service. For privacy-related enquiries, contact us at hello@zero-budget-pro.com.

We collect only the data necessary to provide the service:

• Account data: email address and (optionally) a display name you provide when registering.
• Financial data: budget envelopes, income records, bills, transactions, bank account balances, and any other data you enter into the app. This data belongs to you.
• Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

We do not collect payment card numbers. If subscription billing is introduced, payments are processed by a third-party provider and we store only a subscription status reference.

• To provide, operate, and improve the Zero Budget Pro service.
• To send transactional emails (password reset, email change confirmation).
• To troubleshoot issues and ensure the security of the platform.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany) operated by Supabase Inc. under a data processing agreement. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to the database is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Financial data rows are protected by Row-Level Security policies in the database — each user can only read and write records that belong to workspaces they are a member of.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated workspaces and financial data are permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and data.
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Zero Budget Pro uses only functional cookies necessary to keep you signed in (a session token stored in a secure, HttpOnly cookie). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

The following sub-processors may handle your data:

• Supabase Inc. — database and authentication (EU region).
• Vercel Inc. / your hosting provider — web application hosting.

Each provider is contractually bound to process data only as instructed and in compliance with GDPR.

Zero Budget Pro is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
